What we do

Chile-based Escala Humana produces modestly-sized dramas and comedies with theatrical, festival and streaming play. It produced the dramas “Roman’s circuit” (TIFF 2011) and “Sex life of plants” (Special Mention, New Directors, San Sebastián 2015), both by Sebastián Brahm. It’s currently developing the dramatic comedy “A new man”, directed by Che Sandoval and S. Brahm, as well as the ethno-thriller “The property” and the dark comedy “The inheritance”, by Brahm.

Currently we have three projects in different development stages and we aim at international co-production for all of them. Specifically we are looking for a Spanish co-producer/distributor for "A new man" (US$700.000); for Canadian, German and Dutch co-producers for "The property" (US$1.200.000); and for an Argentinian co-producer for "The inheritance" (US$500.000). We intend to complete development for "A new man" and "The property" during 2022 and to shoot both during 2023.
